I know your not supposed to render below the dpc on the exterior of a building but is there any special coating you can put on the brick below the dpc and then render it. I was thinking of something like a bitumen coating to stop the damp jumping the dpc under the render.
The building in question is a rear garden sunroom with a high floor level and 2 full blocks can be seen below the dpc.

Go with it, give it 3 coats painting the opposite direction each time, then on the last coat whilst it is still wet, throw sharp (holm) sand on it to give the render a key, When rendering just don't bridge the DPC which should be sticking out by about 3/5 mm
