hello

I have an alpha etec33 combi boiler (which is opentherm compatible) that I have been using with a Google Nest smart thermostat (with the heatlink unit that interfaces with the boiler thru OpenTherm). I also have most of my radiators equipped with Tado TRVs. I balready habe the internet to Tado bridge device that connects voa network cable to the rother.

I am now interested in switching my boiler control to Tado as well, i.e replacing the Google Nest thermostat with a Tado solution.

Of the myriad Tado packages, wireless vs to wired, which one should i purchase

thanks

According to their product finder if your existing Nest is wired then:
Wired Smart Thermostat Starter Kit V3+

However to be sure, maybe contact Tado?

Thanks - I have asked Tado support pretty much the same question, generally find standard responses from vendors are vastly inferior to the feedback on forums.

It depends on how your existing system is laid out.

If your Heatlink is mounted next to the boiler and the thermostat is remote, then you would want the Tado V3+ wireless.

If your Heatlink and thermostat are mounted together, close to the boiler, you could have the Tado V3+ wired, but then you lose the ability to move the thermostat around if you needed to.
