Rewire Regulations

His latest text:
"Yes coming on Friday and when we do the work and you have paid the final invoice we will try to claim I don't understand why you feel the need to ask so many questions I just haven't got the time to answer all these questions should be asked before the work as started. And the rewire is our property until it's paid so if there is any complications I'll rip the wires back out"
Well that would cost him a lot of money for the court case to get the repuired legal permission...
But not an avenue I'd wish you to go down, it would be very messy.

"We use a Qs he gets 28 days after the rewire is done to notify the work but is usually quite quick but the office keeps on top of these things so we don't have issues we will see you Friday to sort out the snags and when you have paid the final invoice we will try to claim [for the damage] "

I'll get the few bits done on Friday, pay him up and **** him off. Then I can claim for the damage after.
What he doesn't know is I've registered his old website that appears on his invoices, quotes, social media, etc. His old website is ready to go live with photos of his handy work.

I think you need to be careful in what you post on his website, any unflattering comments is liable to result in you getting your head kicked in, so be very aware.

He still puts his old website address on his paperwork that doesn't exist. So I bought it for just over a quid.
Ah, I see - I didn't really that it didn't actually exist. However, as has been said, be careful what you do with it, both from the legal and 'physical safety' points of view!

Kind Regards, John

"I'll not be answering anymore questions until the the final invoice is paid."
Don't believe that for a second. When he's got your money he will ride off into the sunset and block your number.
Personally, I would take legal action and then get the bailiffs to chase him for the money the judge agrees you are owed.

I don’t think anyone else has mentioned it, but has he or have you had the artex which he has drilled holes into tested for the presence of asbestos?

That's exactly what I plan to do.

No we haven't.

We are in a similar situation with a badly refurbished flat roof.
We have paid for an independent inspection to be carried out and a report written on the condition of the roof, which we will then present to the roofer.
You may have to do the same.

Surely if the OP has bought that domain, it's not his anymore? :sneaky:
