I never said they were all from DM but his piece was the catalyst for it all. If you read his stories you soon see a pattern of general intolerance for anyone or anything. It's like the time honoured saying - he who smelt it dealt it. In this case he was the one who brought it to prominence and then everybody got wind (excuse the pun) of it.

They are not just saying nasty things they are doing nasty things. Phone hacking of Millie dowellers phone was an outrage the girl was dead and they were trying to tap into her phone!!

I couldn't care less when politicians screw me over because there is nothing I can do about it anyway. Laws were broken and the perpetrators are being dealt with in the courts. However phone hacking is only part of the problem. The press thinks its a god given right to report about anyone and anything based on facts or fiction. They even think its ok to take photos of somebody who is sitting in their own living room and print them in the papers. It's wrong and needs dealing with.

Which can all be dealt with by existing laws, libel and privacy, but no, let's have the very people who screw you over the most regulate the press.

There is no law against taking a photo in a public place. If the person can be seen from a public place then its allowed by law. The point is its morally wrong and the press doesnt have any morals.

I fail to see why i should be called a numpty, because its true what i said. I dont care what the politicians do, because im unable to do anything to affect their decisions or whatever else they are doing. I can vote on GE day, and the party i choose may get into government, but they are all capable, and often do, do things which we as the public dont like.

Why are you defending the press so much anyway? do you enjoy reading the daily bunkum they put out? Its funny how only certain newspapers are complaining about the royal charter and others are not! The ones who are opposing it are the main culprits and know they are in the wrong. Im all for a free press, but they have shown, and continue to show that they are incapable of regulating themselves successfully. Time after time they invade in the most monstrous of ways the daily lives of ordinary people and celebrities alike.
