And 200 is half as not much400 a year Notch.
When you take inflation into account, its not much.
That's good.Next on the list are council house dwellers who are to be denied the right to buy the house they have paid 1000's in rent on.
It's actually over currrent inflation levels. There was also an earlier increase accounting for inflation at that time ~10% ???400 a year Notch.

This Labour government has the smell of Blairism about them.Good job labours deputy leader got in early in buying her council house
If the money generated by council house sales is used to build more council house homes for working class people to rent with the option to buy at some point, then that would give those who are disadvantaged the right to join those who have benefitted from not being born poor. That's good.
Unless those houses are replaced why should they be sold off cheaply for no gain to the public purse ?
It's a big if.If the money generated by council house sales is used to build more council house homes for working class people to rent with the option to buy at some point, then that would give those who are disadvantaged the right to join those who have benefitted from not being born poor.
But it wasn't, that's the problem, social housing stock has been decimated and not replaced. If the money generated by council house sales is used to build more council house homes

I don't support Labour or Conservative, i take them by policy by policy, the Conservatives did some positive things when in power, as have Labour.
I know personally people who have benefitted from from the right to buy scheme and escaped from the council ghetto.
Brexit was supposed to be Britain for the British, private enterprise was to be encouraged to generate wealth for the nation.
The wealth generated should be taxed to redistribute down to those at the bottom, while those at the top still do ok.
The right to buy scheme was an innovative way to redistribute wealth and help those at the bottom to improve their circumstances.
that's not what council housing should be about.
Then it should be replaced. But it wasn't, that's the problem, social housing stock has been decimated and not replaced.
Agree. But that needs time and workThen it should be replaced.
babies haaent actually been born yet keep up , why dont hey give infant vaccines to pregnant mothers ?That babies and older people are more vulnerable? Makes sense...
