I’m having the same issue. Where would I find the battery?

Look for control panel.White box approx 30cmx30cm will be in cupboard/garage/understand etc.
Battery in control panel will be 12 volt 2.8ah or 12volt 7.0 ah battery.

Internal sounder /keypad only
Have you got engineer code ?
If control panel has engineer tamper reset enabled then you will not be able to reset system.
You will only no this when panel has been opened, may reset with user code .

My battery has just gone. Looks like I changed it in 2009 so not bad.

Screwfix or Toolstation don't have a 2.8Ah but they do have 2.1Ah or 3.2Ah would either of these be OK to use?

Oh well, I've ordered the original 2.8Ah Yuasa that it's replacing already. It's worked for 12 years, so must be ok

Right here we go. Just had my new battery delivered. Open the box and fitted it, red light on keypad went out. keyed in my pin code to reset but still saying lid tamper, so I turned off the mains (but obviously the keypad stayed alight cos of the new battery), tried my pin code again, nothing, tried 7890, nothing just says invalid code.

Current position: Lid Tamper flashing, Reset Required and Red spanner light back on.

Where do I go from here please? Thanks
