Hi,
firstly apologies for re-posting a topic which may already have been answered.
We had a Scantronic 9800 installed in 1992, as the house has concrete floors on ground and first floor, the alarm installers stapled the cabling around the house.
since 1992, the alaram components and wiring were completely removed in order to refurbish and re-decorate the house.
We ran and chased in the alarm cabling to the previous areas where there were sensors, panic alarms, keypads etc.
The problem is that we forgot to jot down which cable for which circuit was screwed into the alarm control unit and which cable cores colours were plugged in.
Am guessing that from reading the engineer manual that it is best to perform a full reset and re-program.
any help much appreciated!
But firstly would like to know if there is a recommended cable colour connection practise.
obviously red and black are obvious, but for other connections on PIRS, the keypad, internal sounder and external sounder etc.
