Lol. Only realised yours was finished when I saw the thread earlier, prompted me to post an update on mine. Cracking job, kitchen looks awesome. Hope that doesn’t mean it’s the end of your contributions on here

I’ll still be going for years, got an attached garage to do next year and a load of external/patio stuff...

A few more pics, done everything myself apart from gas and leccy connections and fitting the bifold door. Enjoyed brickwork and roofing the most.
Now building attached garage when the weather and having 2 small kids allows...

yep it’s attached to the extension.
Only got the original plans, but the construction detail has deviated from them, due to things like retaining walls, double rather than single skin, trench rather than raft foundation etc ... happy to answer any questions tho if that helps

Were the extensions and garage all on the same planning application? Does the garage cut off access to your back garden? How close to the boundary is it and how big will it be?

Yep, all the same planning (and building regs) application. I need to complete the garage before building control will issue completion.
Yep, garage will block access on that side, but it’s a detached house so the plan is to use the other side for back access. Could have kept another side gate to the right of the garage, but the ground level slopes up a few feet by then (hence garage wall is a retaining wall) so it’d be a bit weird with slopes/steps so didn’t bother.
Garage is probably about 2m from boundary at nearest point.

edit: it’s only a single garage, about 5m long

that reminds me I’ve also gotta do a soakaway somewhere...
