Excuse subject .. not sure of correct name.
I have a thermal store, the heating output is via a pick up coil in store …
The tank unions connect to a Thermostatic blending vale … the output of which is fine … via pump and as you would expect a pair of pump service valves.
So should I want to remove blending valve I can split output at pump for flow.
The issue is the return is a 28mm straight pipe to the Tee at bottom of thermostatic valve.
So no way to service the valve …as it solder elbow at one end of run to Tee at other.
So could not get valve off.
A colleague mentioned you can get a service joint, a bit like a 28mmm straight compression coupler, but the centre can be split open to allow pipe to be ‘broken’
Would seem much better than having to cut through pipe.
Is there such a ‘service’ fitting, and if so what is it called.
