Sexy burglar alarm..?

There are so called "Smart Alarms", but they're all a bit backwards if you ask me. Take the MyFox: http://www.getmyfox.com/uk/

It's won loads of awards, but theres no PIR sensors and the bellbox is an internal only device. It seems to be missing the most needed features of a proper alarm.

I wouldn't put that in a domestic unless it was in a cupboard. Okay for a business premises.
Europlex (and Cotag, Bewator, Molynx...) was bought by Siemens which, in turn, was bought by Vanderbilt earlier this year. So these keypads are both the same.

We have some customers who like this keypad - it's blank normally, the numbers and display only appear when you 'wake it up'. It works quite well for those houses with polished stone floors, designer vertical radiators and glass everywhere! ;)

Looks interesting, but is it even a burglar alarm system? Can't see a keypad, is it phone control only?

What I'm finding a challenge is finding somewhere you can actually go and look at things. No, like, shops seem to exist where you can view the options.

It's never going to happen .... Thorn tried it in the late eighties lasted 6 months , most alarms are dictated by EN standards which are approved , insurance company's only accept these standards, just look at the issue with the " wing Wong ting tong bound to go wrong 433mhz old technology " somone has issues with the digi senders blocking bell box ....

In my desire for sexy I would like to see, and feel, what I'm buying... at least in terms of keypad. All the other boring gubbins I don't care about... as long as it meets The Standard I'm OK with it... it doesn't interest me that much.

You referenced Honeywell Evo home in your 1st post, i would have thought galaxy touch centre would be up your street, expensive though.

In terms of a wireless system

Galaxy flex with mk8 keypad

Or the scantronic ion with the i-kp01 if you can still get hold of one (that model of keypad has been discontinued)

this HTML class. Value is http://www.cts-direc

Thanks for that, nice to see more options - my comment would be that the Touch Centre looks a little dated (to me) though... just watched a YouTube video on it.

Sexy burglar alarm..?

Suppose the burglar isn't sexy..........should the alarm then just ignore her ( or him )?

That comment does not add to the discussion, please write out 100 times "I shall not attempt humour early on a Saturday morning".

The priority of a burglar alarm is to protect against intruders, and the systems looks have certainly improved over the years.

But beauty is the eye of the beholder, one mans sexy is another's ugly?

If you want to see the kit, its trade shows, or visiting large installation companies or distributors in your area which may have some units on display, but you wont be able to walk into one place and see everything's that's on offer.

Some Trade only places may work with you at a push and show you a few items but many will tell you to go away if your not trade.
