This kind of thing comes up again and again when events are being held in countries that have less than favorable human rights, female rights or whatever. We get carefully worded statements from reps of the person/organisation/country that has chosen to collaborate with these countries but ultimately, the event goes ahead. In most cases, the human, female rights etc in said country doesn't change in the years to follow. Why? That phrase again ... money talks.
Just look at Newcastle United and its new owners. We even have fans dressing up in fake sheikh outfits, embracing the whole thing. Stupidity and greed know no bounds.
