Shower pump cable run

I would have thought that if I walked in and asked for some 13 amp flex cable suitable for running through a wall from a bathroom outwards, he could have at least some idea what I was talking about?
Well I don't have any idea what you're talking about either.

I was not asking for any technical advice, or instruction how to wire it up.
So what were you asking? Since you had already specified "flex" and a rating of "13 amps", what did you expect him to say?

What all this reveals is your lack of experience in what you're attempting. Circuit design and cable selection isn't rocket science, and there's plenty of information in the Wiki, but do you have the first clue as to what you're doing?

Have you actually read my first post?

I know, why dont I type it out again....

I have a watermill shower pump that is going to be fitted underneath my bath. As my useless electrician cannot be bothered to come around after phone call after phone call, I am desperate to get some cable run from the pump through the walls to the airing cupboard. Once this in run I can put the plasterboard back up and start tiling.

I asked above if normal flex cable was sufficient, to which one helpful person said yes. I posted this link above to the cable I got today Doncaster 3183Y and asked the simple question, is this OK.

Ideally what I wanted was a yes or no.

Is this what electricians do all day rather than go around to their waiting customers.......sit on forums and pick holes in their electrical knowledge?

but do you have the first clue as to what you're doing?

Do I actually need to know what I am doing to run a cable from one wall to another? Is it really that technically advanced that I have to have a rocket scientist to do it? As I have said at least twice, all I am trying to do is run a cable......I will then leave any wiring to the trained professional...if he ever turns up.

If anyone can actually answer my original question it would be much appeciated.

They sell electrical stuff in b+q.

Do you think the spotty faced kids who work there have the first clue how to safely use any of the stuff, or which bits to specify for a job?

Quite, I see your point. But I wouldn't have asked someone there, as it would have already been labelled, but would still be in the position I am in now asking if this is suitable.

I see no reason why not, I just like to ask on places like here, where I hoped to get expert advice.

Marky, probably too late now but what about fitting some flexible conduit to the cupboard so cable can be installed at a later date. :)

marky cool down, if you run a length of 2.5mm twin you will be able to use that for whatever you may need.
