Shrines.

A murder isn't a major event. Either they all deserve 18 inch square plaques set into the ground or none of them do. Which is it John?

Why are they there? Why can't people just move on? I wouldn't want a shrine outside my place or near my station

I have said that I have no objection to people placing a plaque in remembrance of the dead.

It appears that you do have an objection but you refuse to say if this for all memorials to the dead, or just some of them.

I have no objection to people placing them.

I would not presume to tell anyone else that they must place a plaque.

If someone wants to they can.

Unlike you, I do not attempt to say that they should all have, or should all not have, a memorial.

Are you willing to say which memorials you object to, and which you are prepared to accept?

How many times must I tell you. I object to plaques in the pavement for the criminal act of murder. I ask you again. Do you want to see such plaques placed for ALL murders? Or none?

Once would do, if you would clearly answer my question.

I have already replied to this question:

Let me see if I understand you:

Do you mean that you object to plaques in memory of people who were murdered, and not to plaques in memory of people who died by other means?

But only if they are plaques in the pavement, and not if they are other forms of memorial?

The only reason the council made a rose garden over plague pit was that when they tried to build a high rise on it ..........the soil was full of bonemeal and wouldn`t support the weigh .....but bone meal`s good for roses
