SLOOOWWWWWW

It's probably that Google Chrome advert, with a little bit of programme to slow your PC down so you're tempted! ;)

Ok all this helps in trying to pin it down, thanks.

Is this happening more so when viewing a topic or viewing a forum or the index or a bit of them all?

(i.e. when the url at the top is viewtopic.php, viewforum.php or index.php)

I had issues a few weeks back, it was the Virgin holidays banner, a refresh to get rid of banner seemed to cure the prob for me.

No probs tonight though, using firefox here.

blas if you have a router /modem try disconnecting them and resetting
ours was running terrible till i pulled the plug on the lot ;)
I've just taken kev's advice and unplugged my modem for a few minutes and plugged it back in and it's now working (almost) normally. I am still getting a blank page occasionally and have to press F5 until it appears :D

Hi admin
Am now getting big delay when loading pages from my browser & navigating the site; browser comes back almost immediately (as before) but with the massage “page loaded with errors” but nothing at all is visible. Clicking page back & forth will get me in but it’s now happening 75% of the time when I’m trying to log on from either E mail topic notification or when navigating the site once in! If I log directly using my browser DIYnot link, I go straight in but still get problems when trying to navigation the forum index.

Has the DIYnot server become the current “mule” for worldwide illicit software/music/porn distribution

I think it's more often when viewing a topic or a forum. Perhaps rarely when viewing the index.
But especially when trying to upload an image, as mentioned yesterday.

F5/refresh often cures it but occasionally it's a total freeze and when closing a message is received re. the script is trying to run or just that IE is busy.

Very rarely do I have any problems like these since I installed IE7Pro Adblocker.

I've just had a reasonable good half an hour without problems. Then I went to switch to another website and IE wouldn't budge. Tried to close IE and got the message that the window is busy, did I really want to close the window?
I was in the Index page at the time.

To let Admin know, 13.19 25/09/2010 all seems well. Couldnt get the site to load at all last night so gave up. FB and all other sites seemed to be working as normal. Im using I.E. 7 (I think!).

Its being a bit slow again after making a reply and going back to the index page I have had to hit refresh to get there.

It's a nightmare again this morning!

FYI Admin, it's ANY page I try to view.

More times than not, when I try to exit diynot.com, I can't easily and have to close IE, then I get the message that the page is busy and do I really want to close it. It's the only way out of diynot.

Something is trying to run and causes problems or is running and clogging up resources.

I know you want to keep our attention, but this is a bit too much innit? ;)
