If anyone is interested this is a site i frequent and in this instance an interesting thread related to some of the discussion here.

Some interesting speculations, especially hinting the Russian units are under pressure to penetrate and quickly take over the capital, to their detriment of being overstretched and supply lines being severed.

If the West manage to keep the Ukraine forces topped up with supplies it could be getting uncomfortable for Mr Unpopular. He's bound to win in the end, but at what cost and how long.

Good news: Putin's close aid has persuaded him to move the offer of a meeting to the Belarus and Ukraine's border - The ukriane leader must go now and discuss before it really gets out of hand.

Bad news: Putin has put on alert his nuclear forces but for his tv presentation did not use the word 'nuclear' but "special operations deterrent units"!!

I urge those close to him to stop him.

I urge NATO to stop acting big and winding up this unhinged, evil man.

Ok well they were right on those Forums Putin has massively ****ed up and underestimated the Ukraine resistance. The fact his generals have made error after error because they're too **** scared to question his unrealistic deadline of taking over ukraine in 36hrs.. after the realisation he's now threatening the nuclear bullshit.

Oh dear what an admission that he's clearly losing and is digging himself a hole. Fredman a very respected oligarch has spoken against him and many others will. The tide will turn in his country..

It seems Ukraine may have agreed to visit circa Belarus with some lack of clarity as to where. Sounded like they may "meet" in different places but hopefully this will clear up.

Germany is sending weapons, a break from post WWII policy. I'd suspect the greens feel that have to agree now.They may explain Germany dropping nuke power at the wrong point in time.

SWIFT ban coming but only to some Russian banks. Details to come. What SWIFT is explained this time.

One comment about previous talks from Ukraine - we had to sign Minsk as we had a gun to our heads. Leaves me wondering about any other agreements.

When Putin's recordings were play on Russian tv today the two miltary men bit looked 70 plus and a good living appeared to be apprehensive as their boss spoke.

Somone, anyone needs to stop this dangerous, evil man before he gets hundreds of millions of people killed on all sides.

This is the area I have problems with news wise. Taking towns and cities quickly with street fighting is likely to leave things finishing as many did at the end of WWII as Germans were driven back. The alternative was seen in Iraq. Take out the infrastructure. That included utilities. Infrastructure other than an oil depot near Kiev is what Russia has mostly hit so far. Oh- forgot a gas storage facility some where else - it went last night. No one is out and about at night due to the curfew.

The pope asks for a route out for refugees - there is one and it's being used. Said to be 360,000 so far but no one is sure.
