Danger of sanctions
As they bite, ordinary Russian will b e told its the was hating russia. You cant blame the ordinary Russians as most older people only have access to state media. So the sooner this is over the better

IMO, Russian forces need to leave Ukraine
but will keep Donbas region and certainly Crimea (NOT RIGHT BUT WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE??)
UN forces from possibly India/Pakistan need to come in around Donbas and crimea
Once we manage to stop the killing and even russian soldiers lives are important
as many have no choice but to go into the Ukraine - the killings of men, women and children,
people losingtheir lives, being injured, dible for life, losing their home, job, hospitals
etc needs to stop

MOST IMPORTANTLY - THERE IS A RISK OF A WW3 A NUCLEAR WAR THE LONGER THIS GOES ON PRIDES
NEED TO BE SWALLOWED, FIGHTING STOPS - then a longer-term soloution for all

NO ONE EVER HAS EVER MANGED TO PLEASE EVERYONE = THEREFORE WE NEED PEACE, THE CURRENT LEADER OF UKRAINE STAYS IN POWER AND ONCE WE HAVE PEACE ALL HAVE TO REVISIT THEIR ENTRHECHED VIEWS.


Never forget, the leaders and those in their circles have bunkers, food for years, medicines, firepwoer etc etc - it is us the ordinary people that will lose everyhting if nato has to go to war with Russia

Edited to add: Possibly offer Russia some of the sanctions removed if they move out within 24 hours and then back to their bases within 48 hours or we increase sanctions = carrot and stick method

interesting that no part of your post admits that Putin has invaded a sovereign, democratic country for no good reason

the Russians already have Donbas and Crimea, they didnt need to invade Ukraine for that

The only person that needs to make concessions is Russia. They invaded Ukraine.

Ukraine hadn't threatened Russia, Ukraine hadn't staged 200,000 troops on Russia's border, Ukraine hadn't annexed Crimea, Ukraine didn't build Nordstream 2 etc etc.

Russia might well win the war against Ukraine by destroying Ukraine. But what good to Russia is a destroyed Ukraine, a crippled Russian economy, Russia's reputation in tatters as a country you can do business with etc etc.

Putin can't afford to back down now or he's finished as a leader. The reality is that he's already a dead man walking, he just won't accept it.

It's hard to be sure of anything when there is a war of words. The Crimea referendum for instance, Declared illegal by NATO . Who knows in terms of the actual result. The reason for it being illegal doesn't relate to that. Israel's west bank occupation is also illegal according to NATO. Seems it still is according to a USA comment - he sees that as disgusting. People are being told to get out of their homes there. Following a one sided 11 day war it's been a legal argument since. For NATO maybe read UN,. Doesn't matter really. It's how things are.

Fighting pre Minsk which is probably what Russia is referring to. Google can be used to look for info in the past. Reports mention all sorts fighting including anti Russian Chechens and a group that used an SS emblem. These Chechens can be seen as terrorists. There were also Chechens fighting on the pro Russia side. All sorts could have been going on but Russia may well be exaggerating. The Russian side was driven back. Shelling and all sorts hence the Minsk agreement to limit damage. Probably rather late as one side will see it.

I report from a town in Dumbass before things took off. Pro Ukrainian demo. Not many and as the announcer said this is far from being representative of the area. This fits in with demographics. Go east in Ukraine and more and more speak Russian. An attempt to make it a legal language was defeated. Doing this does have it's complications ;) as does Welsh.

Ukraine seems to be into SUS and anyone out and about during curfew is regarded as an enemy. Shot maybe - who knows. Some AlJ reporters were stopped and one of them had a mobile phone in his hand. Knocked out of it by a soldier and shot. Maybe they wondered if there was some footage in it. It seems that they thought they may be saboteurs.

Latest no fly request from one senior Ukrainian politician a partial one. Asked if he had spoken to their president recently. No answer. Another politician is claiming that they are defeating Russians in a town 20km south of Kiev. At this level both sides will say what ever they like as long as it fits their narrative. One claimed that some NATO states are looking at establishing a no fly zone. All say no to us. Much of our news now includes our political bodies spouting.

Use of illegal weapons. They aren't for some and I found it rather strange that it was an aerial shot of a small roadside car park. Sounds like these will be used as evidence for war crimes.

Civilians being shot etc - if armed and using them are they still civilians and are all on the same side?

Evacuate and if male and of "fighting" age get turned back. Reporters earlier wondered what was going on. They are taken some where according to reports. Some made no attempt to go through. Then reports of coloured people, students studying there having problems getting out. Some do seem to get out but no indication of via which boarders. Some have been ejected from trains. Some routes out are now closed.

I'm not pro Russian invasions. Just pointing out that in many areas we do not really know what is going on. I think it's fairly clear that Russia has been slowly increasing the levels of pressure they apply and a lot of it is done at night when citizens should not be out and about. That does not make it good. I also see shots showing property damage. Residential - so far blast damage but shate happens in any war.

TASS was hacked recently and home page displayed end the war etc.

I do watch RT now and again when "things"are going on. Propaganda is usually obvious such as Putin getting into Bitcoin. Sometimes such as the Paris riots the coverage to see what is going on is better. Ukraine - not looked.

It seems Germany banned it and promptly lost it's Russian channel. Both Russia and Ukraine have some sort of BBC presence but I do not know what. The lady that ran (?) the Ukraine one doesn't figure in the news any more. She had moved her kids out of Kiev but not all that far west. They appear to have 2 main reporters in Kiev now. C4 seem to have some but I wonder if one of them is blue screen. He's interviewing all sorts semi Snow style some how or the other.
