Speaker of the House of Commons

Poor old odds falling for this crap, begs the question why didn't Khan raise this mattero earlier, can't be Anderson's has called it right and now he's pleading the innocent which by all accounts he's very deft at.

It also emerged on Tuesday that a man had pleaded guilty to making threats against Khan after Lee Anderson’s comments.

How could he raise the matter before the matter, mattered?

Empty threats, plenty of them but none less intimidatory.
Been going on since time immemorial your history books will tell you yhat

Is it islamophobic or Racist to say someone is an islamist? If it is, then surely the same can be said for calling someone a Zionist.

Anneliese Dodds, the Labour chair, said: “Lee Anderson’s comments are unambiguously racist and Islamophobic"

I don't see it. He's right or wrong.

Islamist - Term used to describe an Islamic political or social activist.
These terms are used subjectively and as expressions of opinion, as much against the speaker as the for the impact, and often for wider political purposes. The venomous intent behind them is as relevant as the factual basis. Foxxy, the actor, is suing some bloke who called him racist, hoping the court will define the term. Good luck with that. There's a heck of a lot of free speech tied up in expressions of opinion.

A lot of people call themselves zionists.

Can they take offence is somebody calls them one?

What do you think an Islamist is?

By allowing legal and peaceful protests?
That is irrelevant to nutcases who also miss the fact that they are mixed race demo's.

LOL Sunak has the right answer LOL We can't have this and then decides to provide millions for MP protection. Why - because all run a risk including his lot.

What some on this thread want to forget is that these none bills were an oportunity for each party to express it's own views on the subject.

The racist aspect - some Tory chose to express there feelings on these demo's in a racist fashion. That's not on any more. In fact in some respects by mentioning control this one is worse than what kicked off the racist area in Labour's case.

Snowflake alert
I don't get you the government stated categorically that masks were not to be worn yet the police police turned a blind eye.
You happy with that kind of policing.
Are you happy that Palastinian supporters gatecrashed a conservative meeting last Friday?

It just made me laugh when you said the protests had descended into the heinous crimes of wearing masks and inflammatory language.

I've not heard about the new mask law until your comment. Is it even in force yet?

It doesn't sound particularly serious. But I haven't seen any details. What happened? Google hasn't helped!

Was the policing on a similar scale where it was continuos week on week?

I don't think so. Does that matter, though? Should there only be a right to protest as long as you don't do it too often?

it was a council meeting. On councillor said what could they do about Gaza. Not many in the demo, just a few.

Generally when things usually real bills are being debated in the house there is often a demo outside or somewhere in London.

Sometimes near riots spring up in some part of a demo group - the police step in. Right wing and fascist groups are often the most troublesome,
