When did you last write a cheque?
I can't remember.
If it's any consolation it's not gone unnoticed.
High street banks have closed on an industrial scale, so I would have thought now they're all soaking up the sun working from home. You turning up on their doorstep with your cheque to process might be an impostion on their part and they would get on to head office so it doesn't happen again.

My concern regarding a Cash Less Society is that it run for the human race, by the human race.

Being cut off from your means to feed your family because another member of the human race, who just happens to have absolute power over your ability to purchase food for your family, who decides its better for society if your purchasing ability is curtailed, does not appeal to me.

What relevance is that to gun ownership ?

does not appeal to me.
You will need to go live amongst the Amazonian tribes or The Bedouin or some such then. Progress means we are where we are at - reliance on phones, cars, tech etc. Staunch luddites can't change that overnight and neither can any politician of any party. It's just a dreamer argument you are putting forth with a smattering of regurgitated idealism, in an attempt to back it up.

I've pretty much been cashless in the last 2 years. The only time I have cash is after one of my sons' birthday, when they give me all their birthday cash and I transfer money to their online accounts.

My 15yr old won't carry change, he will take a note with him, tucked in his phone case, and reluctantly bring change home.

I am not sure how American gun laws have any impact on this though. I am happy with UK gun laws, no change required here. I am not anti-firearms, I just oppose the right to carry in public and poor gun control.

Guns are for sport and military protection, not for blowing kids heads off in schools.

A cashless society? Pretty much the same as the 'paperless office' ......... it's not gonna happen!

In my current role, which I've been doing since Feb 2019, I have printed about 3 things.
20 years ago I would probably print about 30 things a day.
Many offices are pretty much paperless. Printing most for legal these days - they do love a hard copy in the filing cabinet!

Probably not. It will be a slow death. Bit like the old cheque book. Years now since I wrote one, but they are still around.
