The game is up for him, as long as Starmer keeps on saying not very much at all. Of course once in power it will be different.

There is an entire industry geared to making it hard for the Home office to decline applications.
All started off by chief asylum advocate Cherie Blair. Those socialist Labourites wrote the book on milking the system.

That is the whole point of legal representation: to ensure the wool is not being pulled over your eyes.

Don’t forget the money making side of it. I understand Cherie did quite well from it. ;)
I understand that legal representation does not come free nor cheap.
Does that mean we should deny it to those who can't afford it?

I'm pleased that hard working UK tax payers money is being spent on things that benefit hard working UK tax payers.

And the cost of loss of justice for those that can't afford it?
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

As long as they don't come for you, you don't care.

Like housing asylum seekers, rather than processing them?
Like giving millions to Rwanda for a scam?
Like wasting money on pretend policies?

If you want to look at milking the system you need to look closer to home, like the Tory government and their friends.

Not for much longer, thankfully.

Fees are to be capped for Asylum claims. Too much tax payer money being spent.
If any lawyer is abusing any process, especially if being paid from the public purse, then they are as bad as the people traffickers.

Not many being struck off or prosecuted. That I know of anyway.

If they are not abusing the process then all they are doing is fair work.

calm down the pair of you, they are still getting legal aid, just not an open ended cheque at the expense of the tax payer. Money can be directed to other needy causes. Like abused had working women who need non-molestation orders, something I've assisted with arranging on many occasions FoC despite it not being my area of specialism..
