Fitted a PIV system and when it came to wiring it via lighting circuit, I checked two lights and both have one twin and earth cable going to the lights.

The wiring runs via old black conduit to make life more difficult in the loft.

See pic.

Surely there must be some neutral and live loops?? It's a 1960s property.

In the 60's it was quite nomal to use junction boxes all over the place and some did the looping at the switches. Have you looked behind the switch yet? The junctions are often within the round conduit boxes.

I've seen one round junction box for the bathroom and it's hard to determine which wire is which.

If looping was done at the switch, how would I get another cable looped in from the switch to the loft without causing destruction (chasing wall)??

Does the conduit not go down to the switches?
Are there any inspection points/draw in boxes in the conduit?
