The rules needed improving but it looks like he's loosened them, to suit himself.
Blair was badly advised but he didn't perform due diligence before taking the country to war. His info was single-sourced, by a con man. It was in Blair's interest to support the yanks, which I suspect was his major driver. Again was the character involved (dubya) questionable? I'd say so.
I don't know who was the last PM who was appropriate for the post, in terms of integrity, ability, spirit and nous.
Starmer has some merits but he's said some daft things, ditto Raab. Maybe Rishi but he's narrow so far.
