We ran a big site throughout the lockdowns - strictly controlled mess room discipline where it was one person per table, tables 2m apart (during round one) whilst later on we were allowed to have two people diagonally opposite each other. People found congregating on tables were yellow carded first time, then red carded second time (so basically banned from the job - and several were), That was really popular. So no wine and cheese or booze brought back from the offy (which in our work environment is instant dismissal before, during or after COVID)

Also it seems a rush to try and get some sort of cost of living help out ASAP to over shadow the release of the report. The flipping treasury do that work not Boris.
Boris's teflon was not slippery enough when he was a reporter. What's different now. An EU remainer too. I wonder why he changed.
Cross party blame game about Afghan refugees too. The number they did get out is so precise they never intended to get any more out. Once some were getting out the rest are bound to try hence the queues etc. USA much the same.

A big distraction from what...inflation; Brexit?
Unlike Boris, Blairs crimes were too serious to prosecute.
Chilcott said as much in his report into Blairs war on Iraq.
He said that prosecution of Blair had to be balanced against the potential damage to the UKs national interest.
Prosecuting Blair would have opened an international can of worms or maybe leeches would be a better word.
Compared to Blair, Boris is just a very naughty boy.

I think these policies were entirely reasonable at the time.
However, I see a difference between people in a building for work purposes having an after work drink/social and someone holding an illegal gathering. We expect more from our public servants. I’d also expect those who install lower speed limits not to get snapped breaking them. But this also happens.
Having just spoken to someone in the know, nothing to see, jog on is going to be the stance during, after PMQ's.
