it's the ability of the cable to .......... ah nevermind the details..

it's something to do with the earth being able to handle the heat in the event of a fault or something..

I see what you getting at now The calcultion setermins the ability of the armouring to carry the necessary fault current without overheating and causing a fire risk.

Will have to give that one some thought lol...

Perhaps it would make life easy if i just used 3 core SWA then i have a 25mm CPC and no worries of it being insufficient! lol
