Sweets, Crisps etc from the 'Olden Days'!!!

What about Cadburys Big One ?

The advertising slogan was unbelievable and of great amusement to adolescent boys at the time.
'If you like your Big One to last a long time,
Big one, sticks out a mile.'

Launched in 1971, Big One was er, quickly withdrawn.

Anyone remember (I think it was Cadburys) There was a bar of chocolate with about 6 assorted chocs stuck together on one bar.

Yes in the shape of a bar off chocolate with i think 8 seperate flavours or may have been 6 as you say.

I remember them when i was 12-14 years 40 years ago :D :D :D

Toffo's all different flavours - strawberry, banana, choc etc.

"when a mans gotta chew... what a man's gotta chew..."

This topic has bought back a lot of old memories. :D

I hope you lot do realise that all these products would have been withdrawn because they fell out of favour with the consumer and thats why we no longer see them!

I'm gonna start an " Old Fireworks" thread nearer bonfire night.

time to resurect this one I think.. ( I was searching for toothache and this was one of the results.. )...

I used to love Wheelz crisps..

used to have them as a kid and then found out that the shop round the corner from the place I first worked still had them.. ( I wonder if they still do.. )..

I think they were made by nibblitz or something?

anyone else have any old favourites or know where to get sweets and snacks from our youth?

Theres a stall in Kirkby market sells things like layered sherbert, Koff Kandy, Jap Desserts, Blackjacks etc.
Love taking the grandkids there and they love the novelty of a little traingular paper bag!

Blas, 'Old Jamaica did indeed have a sailboat on the wrapper, loved that choc!

you can only ever get the giant toblerones at christmas though it seems.. possibly fathers and mothers day and valentines too?
