Switching from Standard 2 Gang one way light switch to Wifi Smart Light Switch

It's more a case of basic meaning than grammatical constructs.

And I really cannot see what discussion is needed - I suggest that every time you see an opening sentence of the type "So, I'd like to swap my existing 2 gang light switch..." you try a substitution, and imagine it begins "Because of that, I'd like to swap my existing 2 gang light switch in the lounge ..." or "As a result, I'd like to swap my existing 2 gang light switch in the lounge ...".

If it doesn't make sense like that, it doesn't make sense with "so".

But I'm happy with my lounge light switch? so should i be changing it?

Has anybody suggested you should?

Incredibly, you seem to be getting even worse at this.

'So' (again omitting the tacet 'here goes' to introduce a statement (having made the decision that the switch is going to be changed)), having waded through the nonsense, I thank some of you for your input.

I will obviously set the back box deeper, in line with the depth of the switch but thanks and it is something which could easily be forgotten, I appreciate.

My remaining questions are:
-Are my suggestions of where I would put the live wires correct?
-Which of the multiple neutral wires should come out of the connector and go directly into the switch?

In relation to the post indicating there wouldn't be enough space in the neutral connector block, I presume this is resolved if one of the neutral wires is going straight to the switch, as this would free up a space for the one returning from the switch into the connector.

Thanks again. I'd not realised the fun to be had in initiating a post.

The 2 wires which are left in the 'Common' holes on the old switch both go into 'L' on the new switch and the remaining 2 brown wires in holes marked '1 way' on the old switch go into L1 and L2 respectively.....

Yes.

None should come out; they must all be connected together AND to the N terminal.
If there isn't room for them all, then you will need another wire from the connector to the switch.

Mmm. It doesn't really matter - but better to just use one normal terminal block with all the wires.

I'd not realised the fun to be had in initiating a post.
So?
