There isn't three up - you are at the top of the page.

I must agree with joe and bilious on this one
Not everyone who earns less than £200 a DAY is workshy!
My husband works nights and if he didnt do overtime would bring home less than £200 per WEEK

Exactly my point.

I have to say fair play to your hubby. :)

Actually, if that's what he would get for a basic 37.5 week, then that's less than minimum wage at £5.52/hr...

My step-son is 17 and gets more than that a week from his first and only job so far, working in the executive lounge at the local airport (hardly a qualification-hungry job), so there are obviously jobs around that pay more.

You can't stop putting people down can you? You should congratulate the lad for making the effort.

How am I putting him or anyone else down? Fact, because he titted about with his education, he got sfa in the way of GCSEs. Fact, the job he has does not require qualifications. Fact it pays more than the NMW for 22+ and he's only 17. Fact, <£200 pw is <NMW for 22+.

And at least he's out working, rather than slumming it around here with his hand out, which is great and is to be encouraged.

Titted about? Maybe he's not a natural academic - but so what? I'm sure he'll find his niche with encouragement rather than bullying.

No, he titted about, preferring to spend hundreds of hours on World of Warcraft, rather than studying. He could quite easily be academic, he's no single-celled individual, far from it - but, like hundreds of thousands of other kids, wasn't prepared to put the effort in for a short part of his life to gain the potential rewards from having some qualifications thereafter.

Like I said, at least he got off his a*se and got himself a job and is starting to stand on his own two feet and I won't knock and haven't knocked him for that.

Of course now he's wishing that he had listened, got some quals and got a better paid job. Heyho, I messed around at school too and had to spend more years in part time education than I did at skule to get my quals as a result - I didn't listen either. But I too got off my a*se, hence why I would never knock anyone who makes an effort.
