You don't have to come to far west for some respite from the heat,highs of around 22c, heavy rain forecast for tuesday and an unsettled theme thereafter.

I feel sorry for those poor Northerners in Guildford and beyond.

i live in southampton and spend my weekends working on the canal, 10 miles south of guildford. the weather has been lovely yesterday and today, out in the sun, marvellous!!

there were runours of rain last night, but it didn't happen. Still hot and dry, but high light cloud this morning, getting brighter.

have been in the Philippines for two weeks now. Encountered a strong typhoon a few days back. Tore down a few roofs, brought down a lot of trees, my car even lost a side mirror after being struck by a tree. Typhoons now are getting stronger as they say.
