Texecom Premier Elite 24 - *updated* Connect is too buggy so need help with alternative *Resolved*

You can use Output 1, you just need to program it as described in my first reply. The negative from the relay is connected to the output, the positive of the relay goes to the 12v aux supply

Just on Wintex now and all seems straight forward, only thing I'm not sure of is how to program the 3 zones that I want to trigger the lights into "Zone Group 1"
When I click on Zones & Attributes I don't see any options to do this or is it somewhere else in the settings ?

So, the only thing I need now (I know I keep saying that ).......is a diode and a relay. I am looking in the install manual its says the diode is a 1N4148 so is this what I need.............

Does the diode then just connect between the +12v and the output ?

I am struggling more with the relay, there's millions of the bloody things come up in searches, is there anyone kind enough to post a link to a suitable one for me? :p

Looks like I have now resolved my Texecom connect woes by simply fitting a new wireless expander 8XP-W unit. So far it works perfectly, I have set up a recipe in the app to control my floodlights via the smart plug and it has not faulted yet. It also works instantly where as before there was a good 10 second delay between triggering a door contact and the lights coming on. For anyone who is having difficulty with Connect and have a Ricochet wireless expander unit then check the firmware (of the expander), if it's 2.x.x then I would buy another, paid £40 for mine off eBay brand new with firmware v3.1.10, so not too bad really. Thanks to everyone that helped :)

Glad the expander has sorted it, like I said before the versions can affect how units work and what they have available.

£40 off eBay for the latest version is a decent price.
