He considered that a life lived without reflectiveness of thought and deed, a life not based on principles is a life so vulnerable to chance and therefore so dependent on the choices and actions of others, subtle or otherwise, that it is of little or no value to the individual that unique life of that person living it. He saw, interpreted a life well lived as one which had goals, integrity of person, values, principles, a sense of a consciousness of the world, material reality as well as the Spiritual realm of being.
