I think we can all agree that the tories have failed to control immigration. My take is that this is deliberate, they allow in unskilled labour to keep wages down while pretending they want to stop it but the nasty EU/ECHR/Bogeyman won't let them.
There is absolutely zero chance of the Labour party reducing illegal immigration, the squadrons of clueless do-gooders that have infiltrated the party simply won't allow anything resembling control, as those with the sort of mindset illustrated in this thread would shout racism at anyone who tried it, and they'd be persecuted out of the party, therefore it just won't happen. Those at the top of labour are slaves to PC wokery, led by the bloke who can't even say what he thinks a woman is for fear of offending this lot.
There's a very good chance (based on their track record and statements) that they'll make the situation vastly worse. The moment Starmer starts dishing out the passports there will be more boats than waves in the channel.
Of course the tories like this failure to distract attention from all their many other failures. But it's still a major issue, it's definitely not an imaginary issue that doesn't matter, suggesting this is just dumbing things down so low that it requires a Labour party level of comprehension to conclude this.
