It's not unreasonable to apportion some blame to the EU. Our new arrivals get a free walk through many countries unhindered on their way here.

And this is part of the reason why being in EU may have helped with a better overall stratagy.

Why is France (or any other country) bothered if they want to travel onwards? Do we care if they want to get to Ireland ?

Address the problem and you can then address the solution(s). The problem is a distinct lack of control and system, and who or what is responsible?

And there in lies the rub, people put their faith in politicians to provide the answers, when all they do is laugh in the faces of the electorate for being such gullable fools.
