The Funeral

In that case allow yourself a smug self satisfied smile. Go on, you know you want to.

Actually protesting a funeral is pretty pointless really.

The target is hardly likely to hear the commotion being a bit brown bread and all that so what we really have is a load of sad , unhappy , losers , who have picked the politics of envy , called socialism and have chose the day to make a self pitying , pathetic , what about me? kind of childish spoilt foot stamping display of ignorance and ego.

I had a friend in the army who was an ardent socialist who was always wittering on about some new world order , come the revolution and all that kind of crap.

I pointed out to him at my at the time young tender years of 20 that it was only because the 'new world order' did not actually exist that he had the luxury of speaking his mind.
If the 'new world order' he so stupidly fantasised about did actually exist him and any other anti-establishment workshy whingers would be the first against the wall.

All the so called anti capitalist protesters today are similarly deluded and I find it quite ironic they rely on a capitalist society to exist.
Protesting a funeral is not pointless...

It is pointing out that not everyone agrees with all the gushing tributes and fawning over a person who destroyed the livlehoods and lives of millions of people!

And it's alway hilarious to see yet again the argument that in effect says 'you should be lucky to have the right - just that you shouldn't exercise that right'!

And many don't rely on 'capitalism'....'capitalism' relies on us!

Anyone who thinks otherwise is the deluded one...

Actually protesting a funeral is pretty pointless really.

Actually it's anything but in this case.

There will be enough "triumphalism" today to sink a ship. (pun intended)
Let posterity also record the other side of the coin.

What time do the celebrations start today?

When are you planning on croaking?

Unlike Thatcher.....long time to go yet, in the meantime, i'll crack a nice bottle open, you want a glass?

Hardly , why would I want to drink anything originating from some flea infested squat with hep b a threat from your dirty plastic cup . . . I assume you are living the dream?

All these insults coming from a keyboard warrior...... :p

Go get yourself a bottle and have a drink!!!!

i will happily dance on here grave as a final release for all the evil she has done so i can move on
i would not make a "fuss" at here funeral or prossesion if i was going [i am not]
it would be out off respect for her friends and family who have nothing to do with with her actions

I'll settle for the same sort of dignity being shown to her that she showed to the less fortunate....Finger - singular!

She showed heaps of dignity for the simple sheep farmers in the Falklands who when invaded by a foreign Army leapt to their defence.

She showed heaps of support for the whole of the UK population when she refused to bow down to the miners. (notice the subtle distinction Thatcher never actually took on the miners all she did was protect the rest of the country from them after they took illegal action).

The poorer people of the country were extremely affected by the miners actions and that of many unions. Inflation was rampant , Income tax was high.

Maggie actually brought inflation down which does more for the man on the street than almost any other action.
But hey lets ignore that or that under Harold Wilson and Jim Callaghan your wage was shrinking by over 15% a year. Hence the continual strikes for more pay. Lets conveniently forget why people were striking in the first place.

You know I might toast the old gal after all. . . . on the other hand I could actually have a little celebratory drink for the fact that all you people are so bent up and twisted inside you can't even offer simple human dignity such is the depth of your inadequacies and angst. yep thats worth a glass of bubbly alright.

now shall that be a Dom or a Bolly , , , not sure :D I think a Dom to celebrate Maggies /life and perhaps a White lightening would be fitting to toast your despair. :)

Where was all this support for the people and communities that she ruined?

She brought inflation down by increasing interest rates, and massive increases in VAT, which effected business' and then doubled unemployment to over 2 million..........yes that did a lot more for the man on the street

Mining was an archaic expensive dead duck it was already dead.

I think the irony of the funeral costs by all those bleating about cuts is that it would be a hell of a lot cheaper to run if the protests hadn't sparked a need to ramp up the security. Quite an own goal..lol

You mean the ones she was going to hand over to Argentina until she realised a war might be a good vote winner?

She showed heaps of support for the whole of the UK population when she refused to bow down to the miners
Don't you mean she left whole communities destroyed whilst closing down the clean coal research centre and allowing 200 years of energy resources flooded?

Maggie actually brought inflation down which does more for the man on the street than almost any other action.
Except for those with mortgages/loans...

I seem to recall interest rates going up 5% (10 - 15) in a matter of days, so that must have been good for the 'man on the street...

Politicians do not create economies.

Politicians sit on the sidelines of what commerce and business are up to and use the results for their political aims.

You cannot simply say Maggie created this disaster or that disaster.

Are you saying Tony Blair and Gordon Brown created the economic mess the country is in at the moment. Of course you can't.

What you can do is reflect that Blair and Brown hawked the family silver buying votes.

I am sure that any other politician in Maggies shoes and with her set of circumstances would have made a complete disaster and instead of turning things around would have left the UK in a worse state than Greece.

Hindsight as one businessman I know will tell you is worth 'tuppence a ton'.

What she did was put in place (or pushed to as you infer by business) an economy based on theoretical asset values, and the rest as they say is history...it was only a matter of time before a process she put in motion came to it's inevitable collapse!

(Btw, she 'hawked the family silver' - Brown hawked the gold.... ;) )

But back on topic...

Nice to see the turnout is pretty low...

I should imagine they'll be more at the marathon!

Fractional reserve banking existed for hundreds of years, if you are not referring to that I have no idea what you are referring to?

You mean the ones she was going to hand over to Argentina until she realised a war might be a good vote winner?

So she made Argentina attack for votes

Don't you mean she left whole communities destroyed whilst closing down the clean coal research centre and allowing 200 years of energy resources flooded?

You mean the clean coal research that is carrying on all over the world and is turning out to be nothing but a farce?

As to the mines, I guess your just another "she should have compromised by continuing to subsidise them" proponent.

Economic correction is a bitch.
