Redfish, what thread are you talking about? What inspired you to start this thread? Give some details! As for supporting it, I havent fooking seen it you clown!

So who's the clown now. Do you normally support something that you haven't seen?
Seven minutes after posting your offensive comment you thought you ought to pm me to ask politely what was the post about, because you hadn't seen it.
Perhaps you ought to read up on feedback and feedforward. Then apply it to your actions and attitude.

My initial post was to make some aware of the illegality of hate posts and the risk that they run in posting them. I was hoping that some would take note, sadly some posters still take every opportunity to post material that borders on the definition of "race hate"

I am also aware that the owners of the forum can be considered culpable for not deleting such material if they are aware of it.

IMO it's a responsible action to bring such material to the attention of the appropriate people.

If others want to consider that as a "high horse" attitude, so be it.
Just as some will continue to spout their nonsense about immigrants or other countries, I'll continue happily on my high horse.

As an aside, I wonder if anyone saw the documentary about the Great Fire of London recently. It was a bit of a Docusoap, but some suggestions were perfectly plausible, namely that many European visitors were blamed, attacked and even killed for starting the fire.

Then some posters have the audacity to announce how civilised we, as a nation, are above others.
Maybe they should demonstrate a little humanity and goodwill towards others.

Before some reply with the usual: "So you'd open the borders to everyone?"
The subject is far too complex and sensitive to make such preposterous and sweeping statements. There have been greater minds than us considering the issue for many years and no-one has yet found an acceptable solution.

Well would you open he borders to everyone? If not - then why not?

In my opinion the UK is already overcrowded -and that's why I say 'no more immigrants'. When do YOU consider the UK overcrowded? (considering that you live in France anyway).

It didn't take long!
I'd agree with a part of your statement, Joe. IMO, the density of the population is higher than I would like in the areas that I can afford to live.
That's a relative statement, not an absolute statement.
In France, that is not the case, so I prefer to live there, for the above reason. It's nothing to do with immigrants or immigration.
As for the rest, well I think it's a conflict of interest versus a conflict of value.

For those Idi Amins and Mugabes amongst us that want to deport all immigrants, consider the culture of the UK without some of its immigrants, Brunel, Freud, Einstein, Amy Johnson, and many, many more.

No-one is saying that immigration is bad - but not just now thanks. Unemployment is at a 17 year high. We have over a million young people out of work. It's time to sort our own house out before admitting any more.

BTW Herring. Do you believe that it is right for the Roma Gypsies to arrive in the UK with families of 10 and claim benefits that they have never contributed to? If so why? If not - what do you suggest? It's all very well to talk in airy-fairy idealistic flowery speech - but what about in the real world? There are 10 million of them out there. Do you agree they should all be allowed into the UK?

It may have been far worse without previous immigration.

While you're plucking hypothetical questions or scenarios out of the air, I'll contiunue to talk in airy-fairy idealistic flowery speech.

Because you know that if you answer you will get your butt kicked (as usual).

You just keep on waffling, and the rest of us will see you for what you are. A lefty liberal that can waffle but not answer simple questions. It's a bit pathetic really.
