I have been dismayed by the Labour responses to the crisis in the Asylum process, and to the Brexit position.
Not some specific policies, because some are entirely understandable, .e.g. the continuing use of the barges, etc.
When pressed Labour (Kinnock) have admitted that they would be obliged to continue use of the barges until they could end the practice asap. "We are where we are. We can't wave a magic wand and introduce soemething else immediately."
They've also said they would seek to process the asylum seekers quicker, and seek return agreements with other countries.
But I'm not sure they're going far enough.
Although I've recently had another thought.
Labour have said they will make Brexit work, rather than seek to reverse Brexit, even though popular opinion has clearly shifted substantially.
I saw a comment from a political commentator, that suggested that this is a deliberate ploy to avoid being labelled "Brussels lover", "EU Sympathiser", etc. by the Tories.
I wonder if Labour are making the same ploy over the asykum seekers crisis as they are over Brexit.
