The nhs is suffering a staff shortage at the moment. Wards close not because a lack of funds or a lack of doctors, but because not enough support staff and nurses. We need foreign nurses, but they're choosing not to work here.

And it's another f-up by our gov. Brexit around the corner and they took away bursaries so even less nurses around. Made the situation even more dire for the future - but I guess they don't actually care all that much.

Remainers are just as guilty of creating division as leavers.

Anybody on here that mentions they are concerned with immigration levels abd how it has affected communities quickly gets called Zenophobe, a hater of foreigners.

There is a problem though with the 'Daily Mail' type media, that picks stories about immigrant criminals etc and conflates it to becomes 'all immigrants must be criminals'.

There are a lot of people that have put on universal credit, dont get their money for ages and end up starving.

Universal credit has made ex soldiers homeless. PIP has made some disabled people commit suicide.

I do know there are 'benefit scroungers' - unfortunately their attitude has led to a total lack of sympathy to the majority of people in benefit that really struggle.

So many on here believe the cuts to the NHs, schools, housing shortages etc are caused by pesky foreigners.

Its a con which lets those in power continue their influence and crippling policies as they have convinced vast swathes of this country to think the problem lies at the foot of foreigners and their problems will only be solved when we send these foreigners back.

Those in power know thats an impossible task so they can continue this charade. Angry voters voting again and again against their self interest. Holding onto the idea our problems will be solved if we just got rid of these foreigners.

Lets carry this further. How much tax do you pay? Is that enough to pay for your kids schooling, healthcare etc.

A self employed plumber you earn what? £50-60k so in tax you pay what £10-15k if that in Tax. You mention you have 2 kids thats about 12k cost, you have access to healthcare thats about £2200 per person so a family of four there another £9k

Thats £19-24k thats more than you contribute in taxes, so are you a scrounger?

I got burned by one plumber that means all tradesman and plumbers are conmen.

I was shortchanged by one car mechanic so screw them all.
