they're just making sure you're not still working in Imperial and your name is not schizo

Hello shifty22! you haven't posted since schizo2K nearly got slung off the forum.

It's a funny old world.

How is Kent?? How is the tiling trade?

Should I put you on ignore now, or later?

It's a funny old world that sad people like yourself think you're opinion is more important than it is.

You seem to be a little bitter since you got owned on the last thread we spoke on, get over it dude, I forgot you existed in an instant ;)

Kent is good, so is the tiling trade, it's good to hear of local plumbers struggling tho, it's more than they deserve for ripping people off with ridiculous quotes when people had abit of money. You never know, they may have the privilege of sitting on a DIY forum like yourself all day being a loser.

I'd rather you passed away whilst igniting a a flame near a leaking gas pipe personally but puttibng me on "ignore" will do for now ;)

I do happen to know Skitzee2k, I suppose the concept of having a mate is alien to someone like yourself

Instead of spamming the thread, why don't you contribute some of the limited intelligence you have to the topic in hand and stop concentrating on your deflated ego.

I can't help it. It's an inherent defect. I am a failure.

But at least I am straight.

You're right. The best idea is to put your crap on ignore, with Nuke.

Have a nice day, both of you.

P.S. Just spent the morning installing a pair of B&W 800 Diamond speakers and Chord amps. Don't need to work the rest of this week

To be fair, by the sounds of it you'd be underqualified anyway.

I agree, I have no experience of shelf stacking, and the psycometric test would not make my suitability any better, considering, I have more intelligence than all staff at tesco put together, however Kamal, at least I am not dependant on my older brother.

Were it not for your older brother I'd hate to think who's takeaway you'd be working in now, face it market research or dial a phone was'nt all that great was it?

An older brother of yours and a cousin of mine for who I went out of my way to do a degree in which I had no interest,

It's funny the things you are prepared to do for family, until you know there true colour.

I applied o ASDA who have a similar online test. I failed first time marked' UNSUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE', so i tried again giving exactly the opposite answers, and still failed. I made a hobby after that of taking the test dozens of times, recording the answers. I worked out eventually an optimal set of answers to pass.....by which time i had a job and didnt need them. Still it passed the time while i was out of work.............

I know exactly the type of staff they want, that's why I got my sister, no disrespect to her to do the psychometric bit.

They are looking for someone who is always happy about nothing, and especially more happy about doing such a ****ty job, and nice to people all the time, a typical girls personality.

come to think of it, I cannot recall being served by a bloke at the till at any tesco. wierd is'nt it?

Skitzee's reason for the economic problems are a bit on the simplistic side, as someone has pointed out greedy corupt bankers have played their part too.
However, that said he does have a point about the system needing reform. Simply stopping benifits would cause serious problems if it was just left at that. The government would need to provide some sort of emplyment for those whose benifits disapear ( we can't rely on the private sector here, their job creation has all but dried up at the moment and government provides directly or indirectly some 60% of the jobs in this country). Maybe a lesson from history , the US had labour schemes and contracts in the thirties designed to employ as many workers as possible, projects such as the hoover dam for example. Germany did the same with it's autobhan program. It may be a case of making industry labour intensive again and subsidizing to remain profitability.
Norcon's post about China is worth reading and one point in it about management is valid here. It is said that there are 15 managers to 5000 workers in China, compare that to this country where we are top heavy in so many cases. How many of us on this forum have worked on a site of about 40 people that has 2 site agents, a contracts manager and an office ful of staff to support?
I like the idea of food stamps etc, can't be spent on fags and booze and it may even embarass people into looking for work.
I'm not in a position to comment on the dole directly having only been on benifits for about 4 weeks in nearly 30 years.

Lady Lola,

Your points seem fair and primitive, food vouchers is taking the **** I feel, and it would only work if we could pay cabbage, eggs and spinach instead of taxes of cash form on our income, what about a household of 5 people claiming benefits, they would still need to pay utility bills, this would not be possible with food vouchers.

Me personally I would prefer a bit more from the benefits system considering I have paid more tha 40k in my last job alone on taxes...so that I could re-train .. training which at the moment is available free if your under 25 I am 29. btw I dont get to spend any of my benefit on me but it goes on bills etc, I dont even get to buy a sarnie...and have to borrow for that from family.

Also council tax, if only the dwp, would give the council correct info about work dates, instead of saying your claim stopped last time you signed on, I would not have to pay extortionate amounts of council tax for 1 weeks temporary work, that said the council should be more considerate and not be on your back for council tax as soon as you get a job, but let you earn some first....what do they think that we work to pay the council tax and that is our priority.

And as for humiliating people back to work, siging on every two weeks is humiliating enough and has had an effect on my esteem, anymore I'd have a nervous breakdown for sure, instead of the advisors asking what you have done to look for work, maybe they should do something to find us work, in an already faaaked economy.

I really hate the people who are downing people on benefits, esp those long term, what do these nob ends think that we like being on benefits, it's a last resort and always will be, I for one am trying everything I can and it still is not working..I remain optimistic, maybe the advisors and speculators should wear my shoes for a week, and then I could speculate.

There are not half as many applicable jobs to an individual as you people who are working think their is. I think arrogance has landed on your boat, and you need to take a swim in the water to feel the temperature.
I now have sympathy for people on benefits esp me.

The entire bank bail out (which is being paid back) is like 6 years of the benefits we pay in this country. Gordon's terrible cock up with the gold cost us 1.5% of what we pay each year in benefits.

The total national debt which is threatening to sink the entire country is just seven years of what we pay in benefits.

I am not saying that we should scrap it all together, but it kinda puts all these 'big' influences into perspective.
