The right to have multiple children

Each generation is, on average, less intelligent or otherwise talented than the previous one
I'm pretty sure that's demonstrably wrong. Previous generations have had widespread lead poisoning, fetal alcohol syndrome, poor nutrition and worse parenting. They had it hard and that has implications in their health and intelligence.

Parents are supposed to want to give their children a better world and upbringing than they had, it shouldn't be a criticism to acknowledge they have managed it in many cases.

Schools and social services have been letting people down for years.

Half the young people are treated like cattle. Their parents knew no better; hard to pass on what you don’t know.

Float in on a boat and it’s all good though ?

Don't know but in Ireland you see downs children out and about because of the abortion policy, they are happy, people talk to them and they form part of non judged family unit.

Not quite what I was getting at ?

No, density wise Netherlands is double ours and Belgium something like 50% higher. Not even close.

Luton finished 11 points behind Sheffield United & 21 points behind Burnley but they still got the golden price .....Premier league Football. The other 21 teams got nothing.

So 3rd is close

My assertion is, whilst it's everyone's (legal) right to have as many kids as they want,

Yes, as long as you can support them. Unfortunately the only people who can afford large families are chavs and other religions/immigrants paid for by The State (us) or wealthy people. The chavs and immigrants use large families as both a cash crop to gouge as many welfare benefits as possible and an excuse not to work. All of this is very harmful to society.

I have done my bit for society and the environment by not procreating. (y) Not keen on kids anyway.

Rees pudd was on about it the other day, picking up on the latest alt right drivel that says western countries should be increasing their populations, that theres plenty of room.

Blup

Maybe Walter The Softy has plenty of spare acres on his country estates, but most of the rest of us are being squeezed by population growth and failure of his government to make sure housing demand meets housing supply.

Didn't watch it but read a review where it mentioned Dionna had three sets of twins.
That must long odds for that to happen.
Not if the Mum is having fertility treatment.

we should have birth limits like in china, maximum of 2x children per couple (regardless of lgbtq+ status)

i also think prior to having children you should be means tested

Depends on pedigree.
If you take two parents who are thicker than their antecedents, then sprogs will be brighter than the parents.
If two bright families' dunces procreate, the kids will tend to be brighter than the parents. They call it regression towards the mean.

Would human society benefit from selecting for bright people? Probably.

True.
I married an appropriate person to keep my desk tidy.
She's quite good at it, but unfortunately has ideas above her station.
