Joe maybe your protaganist are in the type of business that are immune from the economic woes of this country.
What if we all on the northern side of the planet leap up at the same time? The planet will come up, go back down, the oil will shake up and, if we're quick, we can get it out more easily.
Come to think of it, when all those lard-a*sed Septics land as one, there will be such an upsurge of oil we can just stick buckets out to grab it all.
