A similar incident happened before the match in Dublin at Shamrock Rovers stadium - but seeing as they're Republican Irish, it's understandable.
But the Football Supporters Association in England argued it was a perfect time for the majority of fans to gather and pay their respects.
In a democracy. the majority rules whether you agree with that or not.
Whenever people go on about their right to free speech they forget that freedom comes with a responsibility: in this case, to respect the wishes of a majority of fans.

The booers were soon shut down by the sounds of it

Liverpool coming to Stamford Bridge today would have went off. The London hooligans would have joined forces on Liverpool.

Right decision

And they will most probably get it up in Glasgow when they play Rangers

The non booers
It wasn't booing, it was singing. but, anyway, I'd like to find out more about how the singers were 'shut down'.
So far all I've been able to find is a 9 second video of the singing and outraged headlines after the event.
Can you provide any more information?

Can you provide any more information?

You have a device that can give you all the information about every subject on every continent around the world.. look it up you lazy piece of fish

That sounds nothing like an echo.
It would sound like OK.
It's all to do with the positioning, and the hardness of the consonant at the end.
With ooob, ooob, the sound of the 'b' at the end would be lost, and it would sound like an echo of booo.
But with ohce, the sound of the 'c' would not be lost because it's followed by a soft vowel.

Are you keeping up?
