Yes you need the fire lighters and if they have it you could get the chiminy starter I personally do not use one but I know from forums that a lot of of people swear by a chimney starter
- just make s it easier to get them going but I do not have a problem with getting them started

Do not be tempted to get the little 5kg bags from asda ect as the lump wood is "shrapnel" the restaurant grade is great stuff but I have had mixed results from the Band Q big blue bag but on the whole much better than the stuff in asda

Too late not but another one of my recommendations would be to NOT buy instant light charcoal - nasty stuff, imagine it with a coating of a starter liquid - fumes

Don't buy briquets either as they are basically charcoal dust held together with all manner of binding agents that you really shouldnt be cooking food over

you dont get the petrol type fumes into the charcoal - again i have found a difference
by mistake , i thought i was buying the above , but got these , straw bits

Second best stuff is the Big K again but its in a smaller red bag and can sometimes be had from The Range.
Next step is to try homebargins if you are getting desperate. its forcast nice weather tomorrow in most places
