Note that Adam is quoting the desperate Tory party here. Desperate for votes I think; there will be more promises to come soon.

Trouble is the resourses wouldn't go to the needy, These projects are looking long term at the human races existence on this planet earth and how short that time we have really is, so we need to plan ahead for maybe a move to another world when the time comes which would be impossible unless the ground work has been done first.
Don't forget the scientific and medical advances brought about by the Moon Race that have benefitted mankind since.

Do you mean put off getting ready to go to another planet?

Surely though, "Today, is the Tomorrow you worried about Yesterday", or was that last week?

I think is really exciting and I hope that man continues to waste money in this way, some say that we get a knock on affect (well it was the misses actually) which helps mankind but I don't think none stick frying pans are any good to people dying of starvation in Africa, we've recently discovered that we are destroying our planet with various omissions from planes, cars and daily stuff but we don't do anything about it so its probably better not to know, I wonder what it would take to ban cars, what if we spent millions of pounds to find out that cars will be responsible for the end of the world in 150 years? would we ban then tomorrow?.I think not., Oh! dear I've got lost!!!! Well from a selfish point I hope we continue to explore space, but I believe that we are useing resources that belong to the people that are starving, god now I feel s**t!!

So you should, cost of business class to Oz minus cost of tourist class = a whole lot of grub for some unfortunate Africans. Money and mouths, big problem. ;)

Eh? Where did I quote the Tory party?

the Tories reckon they can save £35Bn

putting political views aside and just looking at the fact that someone has gone through the balance sheet and identified £35Bn

Hardly a quote! In fact I put aside the point it was even the Tories.

desperate Tory party

Now the Liberal Democr*p party, THAT is a desparate party!

Your tomorrow from that post is my yesterday for this one. You must have a time machine or something, or do I, for being from the future? I'm going back to sleep now.

I was listening to the radio the other day when someone asked a Tory politician if they had allowed for the cost of all these people be on the dole. He avoided a reply and drifted onto something different. I found myself shouting remarks like get a fkin job or welcome to the real world at the radio!

I would imagine that many civil servants would be rubbing their hands at the thought of enhanced redundancy package (circa £68K) apparently, plus early pension and pension lump sums. Then for some the prospect of self employed consultancy work doing the same job.

My heart bleeds for them, I don't know any self employed person who started out with these ammounts of money. They are been given a golden opportunity but most don't see it because they are used to being featherbedded by the rest of us.

This happened to 3 people I know who worked for B Gas, they all got around £60K plus £150-£200 pension a week and they never stopped moaning about it. btw they are all back at the same job now for a contractor, pathetic.

bit like the problem with the global warming people won't take it seriously until their house is washed away along with their car and all their possessions THEN it'll be too late!

The latest thought on global warming is that it is a natural cycle just like the ice age was. It's nothing to do with us then?
