If you read the article the French Consulate at the time put the figure at 50,000 higher than Boris.

I've dealt with posh rich b@stards with private education all my life and only one of them spoke french due to his Mauritius origins.
You're probably referring to the gone by times where aristocracy still existed.

Go to any of the countries named there and tell the workers that they earn more than us in UK.
They'll probably beat you up.
There are many ways to massage figures and if you don't understand that, there's no chance that anyone could ever make you understand that.

You will of course have to clarify as to what you mean by 'from abroad' (namely telling us the countries you are purchasing from), and how you have calculated your 'fruit and veg cheaper than ever prices' claim with a historical timeline of said prices and quote said prices from multiple retail sources....
