Ref ,,general election,,,how many goes would you like???
The question is "how many goes would I like at getting you to grasp that another referendum would not be a simple re-run of the first one, and therefore not 'another go'".

I suspect the answer to that is "there could never be enough goes available before the heat death of the universe, so utterly determined is DP to deny the truth".

Dunno about that.

But we might see an end to people claiming that democracy means not giving people a vote, and that a referendum is anti-democracy.

Yep dare say u would be of the same opinion if the remain vote had won :sneaky:;)

Am I right in thinking that the MPs for all the Durham constituencies are remain MPs who the people reelected in 2017?

It must be the will of the people to remain - surely?
Depends what your idea of a majority is

Would it matter if there was a referendum every day......you can still vote leave if you want to.

I dont see how democracy is undermined....unless you are worried more people will now vote remain.

Reductio ad absurdum.
Sure, you could run referendums every day, but, among other things, nothing would get done.
Like now.

every day would be a bit wearisome. Maybe we should only have them every two or three years, or when something had changed.

Like you might have one "Do you want to move house?" followed, after looking into the options, by "Would you prefer to move to the cottage in Cornwall; or the apartment in Bayswater, or the maisonette in Durham; or would you rather stay in the house in Surrey?" Obviously anybody who claimed "we decided three years ago to move house, therefore you all agreed to live in a houseboat on the canal" would be talking nonsense.

Like now.

And anyone who said "you decided three years ago on something undefined, and the facts turn out to be different, so re-examining the decision is evil" would be talking nonsense.

Like now.
