I'm always pleased when I get a call to a multipoint because on the whole it means £30 to £45 for very little time spent and no gray matter having to be used.
But folk who are charging over a hundred pounds for these cushy numbers are giving us all a really bad name.
There are very few call outs as plumb as a mulitpoint. Those days don't come round very often.
Multipoint combined with regular boiler is the next best thing to an airing cupboard. Whatever you do don't let someone sell you a combi.
Hi just to update, have had a nice chap out who has managed to get the water out from the pipes to the central heating boiler and the hob. He has advised we were very lucky with the gas valve on the heating boiler as this could have been damaged by the water. As far as the multi point is concerned however we are getting a new one. Its possible that it will repair for now however if the same problem occurs then we are back to square one, not only that its dangerous. Its a main medway and i believe they are quite old, so the chap will contact me tommorow with a costing for a new multi point and for fitting, we will hopefully have hot water on saturday if all goes well. Thank you to everybody for your replies and advice !!
