I can't say I'm surprised. Not only do we require them to put their lives on the line, but to do so ill equipped and with both hands tied behind their backs.

And, of course, we pare our services down to the bone in order to be able to afford more generals and senior civil servants to 'run' the services from behind their comfortable desks.

It has been obvious for some time (and especially in the last couple of decades) that our army has simply become cannon fodder for the military-industrial complex.

So anyone joining up has to be slightly out of their mind in the first place!
 
and the fact that they end up living in squalor,
how to cure the recession for the trades.
simples,carry out total refurbs on the mod buildings = peeps in work.

but that wont happen,especially when some suit needs a new painting to hang in there office.
