What is actually happening in Gaza?

There is an article today in the Telegraph saying that Trump has essentially lost interest. I actually thought some of his plan sounded sensible. Not Gaza as a casino resort, but the idea of an Arab run government.

Egypt have put a proposal forward but it's just that, a proposal.


I think all sides realise that nothing is viable until Hamas are destroyed and Iran is unable to fund further terrorism. Hamas's refusal to release further prisoners has allowed Israel to crack on against terrorists in both Gaza and the West bank, expect a serious move against Iran in the next few weeks.

I had forgotten all about that. But they still need weeding out. I think the best way is to find a way to get the Gaza population to turn against them. Maybe in the form of carrots rather than sticks.

Israel wont get rid of Hamas, Israel have radicalised the next generation of Hamas fighters.

Netanyahus continuation as leader is dependent on further conflict, as does Putins leadership
 
Israel do not want peace, they thrive on this war by making out the Palestinians are the bad guys. Israel is doing the world no favour.

Bit of a stretch to say Israel funded Hamas, it's more accurate to say they acted as a 'bagman' for Qatar.
