Trump On LA Fires

And another example of Nwgs2 showing he supports Trump…..despite continuously denying it.

Exactly the same as gas112, who also denies being an admiring fan
Stop being a clown, I’ve said I’d have voted for him over his competition.

Deal with it.

His suggestion of clearing the dead leafs, the five year old ones and making water accessible, well seem like good iideas to me.

I don't know about the leaves. But the stuff about water is pure Trump BS. Reservoirs were at record levels. And his plan to move water around California would not have actually brought any water to Los Angeles.

To be fair, The Donald is right on this one.

The stuff about water is nonsensical, as I posted just above your post. I have no idea about what else Gavin Newsom is accused of doing wrong. What else did he get wrong?

Because he reduced the firefighters budget by 100m dollars and allowed a water shortage.
Fillyboy believes the Trump liar over facts

The number of CalFIRE personnel has nearly doubled since 2019 (from 5,829 to 10,741)

CalFIRE’s budget has nearly doubled since 2019 ($2 Billion to $3.8 Billion

The budget for managing the forest (AKA “raking the forest”) is now TEN TIMES larger than it was when the Governor Newsom took office

California dramatically ramped up state work to increase wildland and forest resilience, as well as adding unprecedented resources to support wildfire response

Water reservoirs in Southern California are at record levels. There is no shortage of water in Southern California.

Wildland firefighters don’t use hydrants — they use water tenders. And that is what has been used to ensure continued water access.

and allowed a water shortage

That's an interesting point. There was actually plenty of water. But Los Angeles' infrastructure has never been designed to pump the quantities required to the parts which needed it during this particular fire. Trump's plan to move water from the north would have had no effect whatsoever.

Wow, in that case hard to imagine why the whole place burned down.

Repeated in case you missed it

The consensus at the moment seems to be that climate change is the cause. Basically these new and different conditions are causing fires which never happened before and the authorities are struggling to adapt. I think it's better to wait for the official inquiry, though.
