TS400 problem

Hi, we rent out a flat with a TS400 in it and the tenants have contacted us with a problem. They are reporting a tamper light on and alarm sounding (I think internal only). They don't use the alarm but have told me they have typed in 1234 as a guess. I now know that this is the engineer's code and possibly the tamper light is on because the box is in the engineer's mode?
Does this make any sense please? If so, will exiting engineer's mode possibly fix the issue - how do I do this please?
I have to do this remotely as I am currently out of the country.

Just something I read on here. I understand that the tamper light shows when in Engineering mode and the tenant seems to be using the default engineer code.
Nothing more than that.

When was last time it was serviced and battery replaced ? Sounds like you have a tamper fault on the system...
