Ah right, so if your going to attack someones posts. it really is important to QUOTE THE RIGHT PART otherwise people tend not to have the faintest idea what you are talking about.

'ofc' is one of those yummy abbreviations that get much misquoted. People think its short for 'of course' wheras it dates back to the old IRC chat systems, and its short for 'of ****ing course', ofc.

Welcome to 1337.

Spelling mistakes;

where in that sentence have i use

?

will replace it if the abolish it

Who mentioned something you refer to as 1337 or 84x?

In another post you told someone if they were going to quote you to quote correctly, then please do as you advise others.
I accept languages change constantly, not always for the better unfortunately, and that there is a correct place for using recognised abbreviations. However, I personally, do not consider leaving vowels out of words as in 'text speak' is a recognised method of correct communication between intelligent adults and can only lower the standards of future education for our children and grand children which sadly has been eroded quite substantially by so called progressive educationalists.
You say you advise people on matters of a legal nature. I am afraid if you wrote to me to give me advice and your letter contained such glaring deficiencies I would quickly dispense with your services.

EDIT: Just saw your reply and would like to add the following.

People think its short for 'of course' wheras it dates back to the old IRC chat systems, and its short for 'of **** course', ofc.

More degradation of the beautiful language.

Based on your posts I can say that you are welcome to your 1337, however, don't expect me to accept it as normal.

Exactly - and I did, whereas you didn't :rolleyes:

Thank you for clarifying what "ofc" means - google gave no such definition. Which highlights how the evolution of language can only successfully take place if everyone knows wtf you are on about ;)

Generally, such people haven't the brains to debate an issue, so they take the easy way out and attack the spelling and keyboarding, most of which is irrelevant. When someone makes a point, its that that point that matters, minor keyboarding and spelling Errors DONT MATTER ONE JOT!!!

Unless ofc your short of ideas and cant think of any other way to win the debate, then I suppose scraping the barrel and attacking the spelling and keyboarding are your only bet. Personally, im more interested in your ideas and views than if you can spell or type it, but them im not an anal anorak.

Now grow up and act like an adult. You got any points relevant to the thread topic, or do you only do the spelling and grammar snobbery BS ?

Who mentioned something you refer to as 1337 or 84x?.

You did, but your such a techophobe/spelling snob you didnt even realise it.

And im not inclined to alleviate your ignorance.

.

I wouldn't write you a letter. Snail mail is far too slow, and this is the 21st century, we have far faster, far more efficient methods of electronic communication. Apart from the waste of the earths resources that paper communications represent.

While we are on the subject, keep watching, the printed book will be dead as a dodo within 10 years. I expect you'll have a nervous breakdown then.

There are far faster electronic ways of alleviating your sexual tension. It may waste sperm, but otoh it would be a shame for your genetic line to continue and further waste the earth's resources

Possibly
I expect you'll have a nervous breakdown then.
Think you're having one now

Going back to quoting others, you were the first to mention it here;

The original post was not posted as a debate thread but as a warning of watching television without a licence. You appear to have taken it upon yourself to have a debate. I merely pointed out that I dislike the english language being mistreated in the manner that it does.
If my views and opinions make me an anorak then so be it. You, however, will be the poorer person for your outlook.
Look up the word 'debate', you will find it means to discuss opposing views or opinions on a subject, it does not mean to verbally attack another person on a personal or insulting level.

golly, first joe 90, now lincsbodgers is getting a roasting!!! Whoever next! <walks slowly away> :eek:

Debating with internet noobs and spelling snobs isnt really a challenge.
