TV Package is up for renewal.

In the event of a Major Incident (perhaps a power outage, or a big fire, or a rail crash, riot or problem at a petrochemical works), you can expect mobile phones to stop working.

Indeed.

Every cordless phone I've ever had has told me in the instructions to always have a basic landline phone as well, as you must not rely on a battery operated device as your only way to make calls.

Same applies in spades to cellphones.

A mobile phone is an incredible lifesaver when you are out and about.

Yes a friend of mine boats engine packed up 3 miles off Penzance. If he hadn't had his phone he would have missed the Champions league Final..

Yeah. Can't sleep. Every time I lie down I start coughing more.

Have a cough that is usually relieved with Salbutamol or Fostair, but this one does not seem to shift.

Had it since my birthday (August...)

Cheers, Bodd.
Do have H&L, buttercup etc but they don't seem to do a great deal.
I'm off to the Quack later this month.
Saw one in January who told me to go away and come back when it was serious.

I was with BE, who got acquired by o2 who then sold me off to Sky, Dumped sky for fibre with plusnet. Its £25ish a month for phone and 80mb broadband. The only thing we lost is caller ID, but you can pay extra for that. We never answer the landline anyway. People have our mobiles.

If the mobile goes down there is always FaceTime, Skype etc.
For TV we use Freeview.

Buy an Amazon Firestick for £40, install Kodi on it (free), install a build on (also free - I’m currently using Red Wizard) and you’re sorted. Films/sport/Amazon/Netflix/Naughty ladies.....
